Justin Carillo, 17 years old, was born on February 9, 1987 in Alpine, to Lucas and Rose Carillo. He has three sisters Lorinda, Tina and Alexis. After graduation he plans to attend college at UTPB in Odessa and graduate as a business major. While attending college, Justin plans on playing basketball or baseball. When asked what his favorite memory has been in high school he responded, "When we beat Alpine 29-8 in football and 55-52 in basketball this year." Justin enjoys watching football. His favorite NFL team are the Detroit Lions because of wide receiver Roy Williams from Odessa, Texas. He also has a favorite basketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and his favorite basketball player is Lebron James. "He is one of the most exciting players in the NBA right now, and he is only 20 years old." When asked which teacher has inspired him the most, he responded that it was Coach Hibbitts and Coach Mr. McWilliams because they both inspired him to work hard and to never give up, because hard work pays off. His mom is another person who inspired him. "My mom always wants me to do my best, even though it may not always happen." Justin leaves a quote for under classmen, "Your whole life, the parties are always going to be there, but do good in high school so that you can get into the college that you want with no regrets."

Conners

Andrea Conners, 17 years old, was born on June 3, 1987 in Alpine, Texas, to Larry and Adela Conners. After graduation she plans on attending Sul Ross State University and then transfer to the University of Texas in Austin. Andrea is anxious to graduate, "I'm tired of the same old high school life, it's time to move on and experience something new." In ten years Andrea sees herself settled, successful, happy, and not in Marfa. Despite the fact that she is ready to leave she will keep her Marfa memories close to her. Her most mermorable momement was Marfa's 29-8 victory over Alpine. When asked how she felt when she won Homecoming Queen she said she was very surprised and, "It felt great!" Andrea's advice to underclassmen is, "You only live your high school years once, make the best of them, study hard, play hard, think positive, and when it gets the hardest don't give up. Do what you got to do and realize that high school is way overrated, it's really not that tough." She played volleyball for 3 years, she also was in golf for 1 year and is planning on playing this year. She was in Spanish club for 2 years, Fine Arts for 1 year, S.T.A.R.S for 4 years, and T.I.P. for 2 years. Also she was in One Act stage crew her sophomore year.

Ramos

Javier Ramos is the son of Javier and Myrna Ramos. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on February 16, 1987. He is 17 years old and is a senior at MJSHS. He has lived in Marfa for about 6 years. He has two brothers, Ricardo and Alberto. He plans to join the army after graduation. He has participated in track and football. Javier likes attending Marfa High School because it is a small school and he knows everyone that attends here. He was Homecoming King this year. He was not really excited, but his mom was happier than anyone else in the stadium. He didn't know why he won Homecoming King. Javier said the teacher that has influenced him the most is Ms. Dominguez. The most important person in his life is his grandmother and his dad. Javier's advice for all students is "Stay in school and listen to your teachers."

Salgado

Amy Salgado was born in Alpine, Texas on June 18, 1987. Amy is the daughter of Maria and Tomas Salgado. She has two sisters Lorena and Michelle Salgado. She moved to Marfa her freshman year. Amy's role model is her older sister Lorena because she is funny, smart, and beautiful. During high school, Amy has participated in basketball, track and softball her freshman, sophomore, and junior year and plans to participate in all three sports this year. She has been named senior class favorite and was also this year's homecoming princess. Her favorite aspect of Marfa High School is the purple walls. In 20 years, Amy sees herself as a beautiful young woman, with six pack abs, working as the women's head track coach for UT, married to a hot guy and mother of two boys. Amy's favorites are: movie "A Christmas Story", the color brown, drink is diet coke, the word "awwww", animal is the ostrich, and she loves to shop at Hollister. One of Amy's favorite memory was when the basketball team hung out every night of the three day tournament at Ft. Davis. Her biggest fear after high school is gaining weight. Amy plans to go to UTPB and major in kinesiology. Her dream job is to be a track coach for UT.

Roxye Lara and Eddie Marquez
 
     Roxye Lynn Lara, 18 years old, was born on September 28, 1986, and is the daughter of Robert and Garcie Lara, and sister to Robert Jr.(BooBoo) Lara. After graduation she hopes to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in pre-med. Then graduate, get married, get a job, and maybe have more kids, so basically living the good life. Roxye's advice: "Don't worry about the future, worry about the present," and "Be cool and stay in school." Marfa High School has prepared Roxye be taking advanced placement classes(AP) such as chemistry, English, Pre-cal, Spanish III, physics, and college algebra. These courses have given her an idea of what college will be like. She hope's to graduate at the top of her class. The most important people in her life are Eddie and Alexia Marquez. Roxye has been a part of the student council and calss secretary for four years. She is a member of the FCCLA and assistant editor of the yearbook, she is also a candidate for homecoming queen this year.
 
     Eddie Marquez, 18, is a senior at Marfa Junior/Senior High School and the son of Eddie Marquez III and Vickie Sanchez, both of Marfa. He was born in Alpine, Texas on November 23, 1985. His favorite sport is football and he is starting fullback for the 5-0 Marfa Shorthorns. Eddies' idol is Mike Alscott who is a football player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his favorite player is Terrel Owens of Philadelphia Eagles. During his high school years he has also participated in golf and track. After graduating Eddie plans to get a job to support his family. He has a daugther whose name is Alexia. Eddie says that the teacher that has helped him the most during his high school years is Mrs. Wimberly. She explains herself more and takes the time to help him as needed.
